Short summary
York and Wash enter the observation deck to see North. There's a few brief questions how he's feeling after the surgery, he says he's fine, and the question comes. Can they meet it? North sounds amused, but then he's talking to someone with some gentle coaxing.
Which is when a purple light appears behind his feet and Wash and York staring. He looks very tiny hidden like that. There's some bantering, talking up the purple light, for unfathomable reasons Wash thinks green means small. South comes in and is exasperated. Bantering continues as North encourages Theta the purple light guy to talk to them. Wash is awkward, York comforts Theta by letting him meet Delta, whose York's AI. Theta is a nervous child and Delta is very logical. Also all agents will eventually have AI's.
Someone AI's have sisters and siblings? But Director interruption. It's also against protocol for the AI's to talk to each other.
AIs and agents are paired with personality. North nurtures, York more emotionally intelligent. May have taunt Delta sass. More sass begins as they watch the test.
North and Theta begin a test. North has a dome energy shield and it's dangerous to operate and use. Nothing gets in, nor gets out. Theta, however, is able to operate the shield easily to keep the turrets from hitting North, and even able to time the shield and North's rate of fire to turn it off and on for North to take out turrets without being Swiss Cheese.
It's all very impressive and everyone is amazed.
