It helps me deal with fucked up things. And let's be fair, I deal with a lot of fucked up things. And it's not like I can't be happy like this. Just means I'm a little... [He shrugs.]

Anyway, I have a lot. A little in every genre. Have a lot of manga, a lot of magical girls which I suspect is Aoko's influence. Sci-fi, history, stuff about machines and ships and weapons.

Warriors which is this whole old series cats that's pretty cool and intense.

Ah, yeah. Faito. Remembered the heart game, remembered her name in her right body, whole thing. Aoko's her real name, though I think she's still going by Faito until it feels right again.

Well, perhaps it will not stay that way. Do you have mystery novels?

Hopefully not. It gets kind of eerie when it's empty.

I do. I actually seem to have a lot.

[There's like a whole shelf full of classics. Also gentleman thief novels. FUNNY THAT.]

They must be if I have so many. I never pegged myself as a mystery fan.

[Picking up a book himself.] But I can remember the stories pretty well...

Why would you not be, it is a very good genre.

I deal a lot with death. I wouldn't peg myself for reading stories when pretty much from the word go, someone's dead and it's a whole focus. It's not bad, but to read it as much as I do, it's unexpected.

[Picking up a Sherlock Holmes book.]

It is difficult to say, truly...most of them may be native to my world, but...ah, Sherlock Holmes.

[sherlock is pretty great. fun reads that manage to be engaging when you think about them a bit.]

Should I not be asking you that, however?

Yeah, it's pretty weird what things seem to crossover and what don't.

[Considers.] ....is it weird that I think it might be Lupin?

I find it interesting, personally. It is of scholarly interest to me to see what common worlds share and where they diverge.

As in Arsène Lupin?

Yeah. It seems like a lot of media crosses over. And languages too.

[He nods.] Maybe just because it's a change of pace. See the cleverness from the other side, but it just ends in stealing.
