You'd probably be great at baking when you get familiar with it, its food chemistry. Other cooking has a lot of wiggle room, but baking is all about precise measurements to get the components to react in specific ways.
Luckily there is a fair amount of recipes where the 'steps' are the same. Mix the wets ingredients, mix the dry ingredients, put it all together, bake it for a certain temp for this long. Its a lot of numbers.
If its recipes I'm just writing down, we can make symbols. Any good recipe can fit on one page and half of it is just a bullet list of ingredients.
We really should start on figuring out how you can learn to read though.
Oooooh, yeah, okay, that definitely explains why you were struggling to read. Dsylexia is rough if you don't have a teacher who knows how to compensate for that while teaching. The letters are hard to tell apart sort of thing, right?
[Wylan nods and glances out at the sunshine streaming into the temple.] I think I might take a walk. [Go put things in order, count his plants, and such.]

[Wylan tenses at the thought of being taught to read again.]
Donnie says I have dyslexia.

Re: Evening 105
[Wylan shakes his head.] They look like a bunch of insect legs that jump around constantly. I can’t identify what might even be a letter.
Re: Evening 105
Is it just words, or individual letters?

Re: Evening 105
Okay, so simple patience isn't the answer, can't ever underestimate teachers just being assholes.
I'll need to do a little more research.

... [He reaches out and ruffles his hair.]
Good on you to try and help Minnow. Take it easy, okay?
Re: Evening 105
I will. If I hear anything, I'll let you know.
[And off he goes!]
